To all Tejano fans from around the world. Hi my name is Jennifer Marie. I would like to, first of all, welcome you to my website! I am a 15 year old young lady out of Houston, TX who loves to sing Tejano Music! Just to let you know, I have now finished my first CD entitled 'Here I Come.' It should come out very soon now. I would like to thank Ricardo Castillon, of La Diferenzia fame, and Manuel Garza who produced it and to all of the special guests such as Brando Mireles (MAZZ) on keyboards, among others. It features all oldies such as Siempre Hace Frio (Tejano), Damelo (cumbia), Por Un Amor (Tejano), Si Quieres Verme Llorar (cumbia), Mi Piquito de Oro (cumbia), Es Demasiado Tarde (cumbia), Corazon de Mi Amor (cumbia/bachata), Hay Unos Ojos (cumbia tejana), Una Pagina Mas (Ranchera), and a special tribute to all the Chicanos of the 60's and 70's with the song Jacinto Trevino which was the name of the first Mex/Amer college in the US out of Mercedes, TX. In this song, Ricardo Castillon sings along side me. WOW! What an honor! I truly believe that we should all pay a little tribute to all of those that helped pave the way for us young Tejanos/Mexican Americans/Latino Americans/Hispanos Americanos/Chicanos. What we call ourselves or how we address ourselves does not matter because we are all one and the same. I have had the pleasure and honor to have been on stage with Little Joe, Ruben Ramos, Ram Herrera, Joe Lopez, and Nuestra FamiIia. I will be a Junior this coming school year and am very active at my school here in Houston. I believe in getting a good education and helping young people get started in the Tejano industry. One of my biggest goals would be to get young people to listen and be proud of their heritage, not to mention show their talents off in a positive way through positive music. Another thing that I feel very strong about is paying tribute to all of the veterans of war, and the soldiers who are currently fighting all over the world. For this reason, I have sung the National Anthem and/or God Bless America at various locations including the ATP MasterÂ's Tennis Tournament Championship round at the Westside Tennis Club in Houston and the James Olmos Book Festival at the GRB Convention Center here in Houston. If you would like more information concerning my music, feel free to look around the website. We will have more Jennifer Marie-like things posted soon! Please have fun here and don't forget to send me a message when you sign in!
